Project ICE is the internal code name for Billion, a private brand initiative at Flipkart. Its mission is to provide low income consumers access to high quality products, across categories that are relevant to these consumers.


After an initial success in ~10 verticals, we are now looking to accelerate the growth trajectory by increasing width (more verticals) and depth (more items in existing verticals).


The Primary Responsibilities Include


This is a research execution role within the Marketing team - you will work with a Market Research Manager and Marketing Team who in turn work with other categories to get answers for business questions.


  • Research Executions across the product and marketing life cycles
  • Product: Need Identification, Product design, development, offering, lunch and post launch evaluation.
  • Marketing: Concept creation, claim evaluation, Communication testing, Shopper experience


  • Data Analysis and Insights Development


  • You will have support from the marketing and category teams in your day to day activities.




    • Graduate/Post graduate in business administration with focus on Marketing/Market Research


    • Minimum 1 year of past experience in market research/consulting agency is preferred


    What you will be doing


    • Work together with marketing team to contribute towards success of every product launch and marketing campaign.


    • Opportunity to work directly with Digital marketing and brand marketing towards achieving overall marketing objectives.


    • Be the go to person for market research for the team, for research executions


    • Support categories to build research objectives from their business questions.


    • Work with research manager in designing and executing all research projects


    • Arrange F2F group discussions using internal resources for doing qual/Quant interviews


    • Executing product feedback activities by connecting with multiple internal stakeholders and respondents, manage product logistics and monitor usage


    • Manage vendors for external research activities


    • Support research manager on data analysis and reporting - presenting to the stakeholders


    • Ensure quality in research at all phases - approach, survey design, executions and data analysis


    • Innovate on research approaches for better research efficiency


    • Champion customer research process - gather customer feedback post launch and use it to suggest on product improvements


    • Support Digital Marketing in Day to day activities such as:


      • Data reporting


      • Campaign Execution


      • List creation for Campaigns


    What you should have


    • Customer first approach (passion for understanding customer behaviour, product quality, customer experience)


    • Data Orientation - Great at understanding numbers and presenting them - strong expertise with MS Office


    • Fast phased and well organized


    • Willingness to learn and work with multiple functions across levels


    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills


    • Strong leadership, bias for action and result orientation
